Heswall Hall Cinema presents "Lion", the true story of Saroo, ayoung boy who gets lost thousands of kilometres from his home, his attempts to survive all sorts of terrors and close calls on the streets of Calcutta, and in an orphanage. This is followed by his adoption by an Australian couple, where he finds love and security as he grows up in Hobart. Then, 25 years later, his longing to find where he came from, and his lost mother and brother, is reawakened by a chance meeting with some fellow Indians. With just a small store of memories and his unwavering determination, Saroo embarks on one of the greatest needle-in-a-haystack quests of modern times. Tickets £5 available from Linghams Booksellers, Heswall: Goulds, Heswall; and from the hall on 0151 342 2614.
